My Soulmate is my Bestfriend
A soulmate is someone whom you
have a deep connection—a connection so strong that it makes your being feel
complete, healed and intact, like a perfect puzzle. You’ll be able to share
everything with that person from your wildest dreams to your most shameful
secrets, for they will be likely to be the best, and most genuine friend you’ll
ever have. I am so glad I found mine in this lifetime.
When everything seem to be
falling apart and when everyone seem to be moving forward, you’re sure that
your soulmate will be there to be your rock and to remain by your side on your
toughest days. They will know that you’re struggling even if you don’t say a
word. They will know and understand exactly what you feel, and always says the
right words to make you feel better. They will not sit and watch you suffer.
They will not treat you like a baby, and sugarcoat things. They will speak the
truth no matter how brutal it could be. They will not filter things, just to
make you feel better. They will slap you with reality in the most subtle way
possible. They will not tolerate your misbehavior or your wrong decisions, but
they will also be the less judgmental among everyone. They will speak words of
wisdom, but they will not insist for you to do as they say. They will support
you even if they do not agree with you. They will be your shed on your stormy
days, and they will celebrate with you on your sunny days.
In this world full of
temporaries, they will be your constant. They will be there no matter how
screwed you are, and they will always believe in you even if you don’t believe
in yourself. They are the epitome of true love and friendship. They read your
mind as if you are the same. They know your actions well enough to know your
next move. Your connection will remain intact no matter how less time you spend
with each other. You are each other’s perfect match. You complement each other
and helps you bring out the best version of yourself.
To my soulmate, my sister,
confidante, Serena to my Blair, Peyton to my Brooke, Betty to my Veronica,
thank you for being you and for showing me what friendship should really be.
Thank you for being less judgmental and for being my number supporter in all my
indecisive and impulsive thoughts. Thank you for being my strength when I was
weak, and for being the villain when I am playing the victim. Thank you for
teaching me to be brave and to fight for my heart’s desire. Thank you for not
tolerating my unpleasant behavior and horrible decisions. Thank you for sharing
your experiences with me so I could avoid the same mistakes, and
for just simply being there. Our friendship is not always rainbows and butterflies, we
fight and argue a lot but that’s what makes it genuine. I am blessed to have
you in my life even if you could be a headache at times. Cheers to friendship
and years of craziness. Let’s make more stupid decisions and laugh it off, more
coffee dates with deep conversations, and adventures together. Now it made
sense why God didn’t give us biological sisters because He has always planned
to make us one by heart.
P.S. To whoever is reading this
right now, I hope you find your soulmate too—they could be a friend, a lover,
mentor, basically just anyone you feel a deep connection with.
